Paula Rhodes: Not quite exactly live from Periscope Plaza where Ruby might've cooked something sexy in the commissary... it's @ The Buzzr. Now here he is, the master of everything buzz, and Rabbit's foot houseshoe owner....Pierre......KELLY!

Me: Hey everybody, welcome to @ The Buzzr....so psyched to have you all here. Today is....

Luck.

Bill Carruthers did something in 1977 and it was short-lived. The result.....

So Bill decided in 1983 to recreate it as a new game show, and we'll tell you about it after I return.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_n-1BuWSXVE

Now we get the answer to the Buzzr Beater question. Which did you prefer, GSN or Buzzr? Honestly, you chose both. Good for you.....is you are a fan of Steve and Richard on both channels. Now on to PYL.....

The aim is to earn spins by answering trivia questions. 3 will give you a correct buzz-in answer and 1 for multiple choice. After 4 the podium spins around to the big board to earn cash & prizes.....but there's this.....

1 will wipe away your money. Get 4 and you're gone. No questions asked. If you have a fear of the whammy, you can pass your spins and the opponent must take each one unless a whammy happens. For at least 3 years, it was an integral part of the CBS daytime schedule. And on July 31st.....

History will be shown on Buzzr,

But this Buzzr Beater question will be asked before we're history. Which do you prefer? PYL or Whammy! Pick one in 2 weeks from now.

The buzzer STOPS here. Thanks for being with us today. Any questions about today's show will be reached or suggest something will be at  Facebook at : Pierre Jason Kelly, or @Johnny_Arcade on Twitter and we'll explain. Until then, it's PK signing off and we'll see you.....@ The.....

The Buzzr Beater question figures out which host of IGAS do you like best? It was a deadlock with Steve Allen and Garry Moore. Looks like you have to choose one. Another Buzzr Beater question after we tell you what happened on....

(song stops)

July 1, 1941.

The Brooklyn Dodgers are playing the Philadelphia Phillies at Ebbets Field on July 1, 1941, and the game is being aired on WNBT-TV (later to become WNBC). Before the game begins, TV viewers see this: a 10-second advertisement for Bulova clocks and watches. The ad shows a clock and a map of the United States, with a voice-over that says, “America runs on Bulova time.” This litte spot (which ran at 2:29 pm, if you’re keeping Bulova time) marked the advent of something much bigger — commercialized television. Earlier in 1941, the FCC had approved a plan to turn TV into big business. When Bulova paid $9 dollars to plug its brand, the plan was actualized. Every advertisement seen since (for betteror worse) has a common lineage in this moment.

And the ad went like this....

That began the birth of commercial television.  What else happened? Well....

  • As a one-off special, the first quiz show called "Uncle Bee" is telecast on WNBT's inaugural broadcast day, followed later the same day by Ralph Edwards hosting the second game show broadcast on United States television, Truth or Consequences, as simulcast by radio and TV and sponsored by Ivory soap. Weekly broadcasts of the show commence during 1956, with Bob Barker.

You heard me right. The first game show happened on that day. Since then, game shows have evolved into an art form. We go from What's My Line? to Super password. And today, GSN and Buzzr make up a combined 22 years of game show excellence. What will the next generation of game shows will bring? Only time will tell.

So, of GSN or Buzzr, which do you prefer? This will be your 2-week Buzzr Beater question. Get to it!

Thanks for celebrating a certain day in history. Any questions about today's show will be reached or suggest something will be at  Facebook at : Pierre Jason Kelly, or @Johnny_Arcade on Twitter and we'll explain. Until then, it's PK signing off and we'll see you.....@ The.....

Paula Rhodes:  Not quite live from Periscope Plaza where any troll can get blocked on the spot, it's @ The Buzzr. Now here he is, the master of everything buzz, and the leader of his own secret service, Pierre......KELLY!

Me: It is @ The Buzzr where not only Dogs dance, but Ducks dance, too. Yes, Ducks dance, too. I apologize for sticking the 1982 Mousercise album in your head, but today, stick this in your head....

Secrets.

With "What's My Line?" riding high, the time was right for another panel show and this one in the form of guessing secrets. We'll tell you more on that after we tell you this....

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_n-1BuWSXVE

The Buzzr Beater question told you guys which is your favorite "To Tell The Truth" host? Garry Moore in a very close one. Another one for you after I tell you about "I've Got A Secret."

Since 1952, I've Got a Secret had 4 panelists, but the most famous had Bill Cullen, Henry Morgan, Bess Myerson and Betsy Palmer on there. One or more contestants would enter. The host would introduce the contestant or ask their name and hometown. He would then ask them to "whisper your secret to me, and we'll show it to the folks at home." The contestant would then ostensibly whisper their secret to the host, while the audience and viewers were shown the secret via text overlay on the screen. Then the host would give the panel a clue, for example, "the secret concerns something that happened to [Contestant's Name]." The host would then select a panelist to begin questioning.  Celebrities even had a secret too.

Revivals were made by the previous host Steve Allen in 1972 and Bill Cullen in 1976. The other versions done by Stephanie Miller in 2000 and Bil Dwyer in 2006 that weren't produced by them. And that's "I've Got A Secret."

Here's a Buzzr Beater question: Which is your favorite host of "I've Got a Secret?" You have about 2 weeks to vote for this thing.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4zdskrneOPU

Now that all the secrets are revealed, Any questions about today's show will be reached or suggest something will be at  Facebook at : Pierre Jason Kelly, or @Johnny_Arcade on Twitter and we'll explain. Until then, it's PK signing off and we'll see you.....@ The.....

Paula Rhodes: From Periscope Plaza, where Nelma is our supervisor is you need her......badly. it's @ The Buzzr. Now here he is, the master of everything buzz, and a guy who never lies to Maury Povich, Pierre......KELLY!

Me: Welcome to the show. Today we feature a game with a celebrity panel and 3 people....

But they seem to be sharing the same name. It's To Tell The Truth. We tell you the truth once I return.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_n-1BuWSXVE

The Buzzr beater question tells us what's your favorite version of What's My Line? And it was too close to call. The original version outlasts the syndie vesion. We'll have another one after TTTT.

(song stops)

The panel must figure out the central subject's identity and then the panel must vote to get the real person to stand up. The other 2 are imposters vying for cash and more if they stump the panel. From Bud Collyer to John O' Hurley, the show has become legend, but this year.....

ABC is bringing it back with Anthony Anderson hosting. Can't wait to see it.

Now here is a true Buzzr Beater question. Of Bud Collyer. Garry Moore, Robin Ward or John O' Hurley, who is your favorite TTTT host? 2 weeks will be the time limit for it.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4zdskrneOPU

And that's the truth. Any questions about today's show will be reached or suggest something will be at  Facebook at : Pierre Jason Kelly, or @Johnny_Arcade on Twitter and we'll explain. Until then, it's PK signing off and we'll see you.....@ The.....

Now here he is, the master of everything buzz, and attendee of every high school and college graduation ever,  Pierre.......KELLY!

Me: Welcome to @ The Buzzr, the only blog to give you summer school. Because you will get schooled. Yearbooks have superlatives. Jimmy Fallon has that example.

Me: Welcome to @ The Buzzr, let the job fair begin.

What's My Line has become a long running hit for Goodson-Todman. Simply for its panel, it's guests and it's host. When I return, I will tell you all about it.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_n-1BuWSXVE

The last Buzzr Beater question told us Which Bib Eubanks show do you like? You were thinking The Newlywed Game, but it was Card Sharks in a close one. We'll have another one right after we talk more of What's My Line?

(song stops)

What's My Line had a panel 10 chances to guess the person's occupation. John Daly was the first and most popular host with Bennett Cerf being the most popular panelist on CBS. The syndicated version did had Wally Bruner and Larry Blyden. The panelists were also blindfolded for a mystery guest to tell the panelists who the celebrities are. From the fifties to the seventies, it was a who's who on interesting occupations and many people on the CBS version was a "Can't miss" show.

Now the Buzzr beater question: Which version of WML? is your favorite? Give it 2 weeks. I'll wait.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4zdskrneOPU

Time to clock out. Next week will be the Buzzr Superlatives for it's first year anniversary. Bobbing for Questions

(The following program is scheduled for one fall with a 23 1/2 hour time limit.)

Paula Rhodes: From Periscope Plaza where @gameshowcraig asks you 5 questions in every job interview, it's @ The Buzzr. Now here he is, the master of everything buzz, and the moderator of every high school debate,  Pierre.......KELLY!

Me: Welcome to @ The Buzzr, and you are just in time to see a special edition. Bob Eubanks wanted to do a twitter Q&A based on the show he's doing in reruns on Buzzr and you're invited to join in once I return from this break.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_n-1BuWSXVE

We asked you which section would you root for in tattletales and the Yellow section would be the most one to root for your celebrity couple. And we go back to the show.

(song stops)

Jerry Adkins gets the first question:

"Did you think that Trivia Trap deserved a longer run? Thought the first format of the show was solid. "

He said Trivia Trap did had a problem and the way the first format did led to a mistake caused by Goodson. Nonethless, the theme song is the masterpiece of the show and will be classic.

Andi says this:

Of all that you have done in your incredible career, is there one thing that stands out more than anything else?

He says getting a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. That's an honor.

Curt Martin Levesque asks....

"Bob, did you ever find it hard hosting "Card Sharks" and "The (New) Newlywed Game" at the same time? #CardSharksWeek "

He didn't have any problem hosting them both. It's like having 2 jobs in one night.

Aaron in Fredricksburg, VA asks....

"Bob, what is your most memorable moment as a game show host?"

He said saying Goodbye to the Newlywed Game on ABC. However, it wasn't the last of TNG for him.

Last question goes to Peter Planamente.

"How did you get picked for Card Sharks and do you have any memorable moments?"

The reason why he got picked was because Patrick Wayne tried out....and didn't make it. So he wanted to come in fresh off of Trivia Trap. The rest was history.

For more questions like this:

buzzrplay.com/qa

Now I have a question for you: Which Bob Eubanks show is your favorite? 2 weeks will be your time limit.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4zdskrneOPU

No further questions, we are done. Any questions about today's show will be reached or suggest something will be at  Facebook at : Pierre Jason Kelly, or @Johnny_Arcade on Twitter and we'll explain. Until then, it's PK signing off and we'll see you.....@ The.....
