Welcome to @ The Buzzr.

So game show hosts had something to do before hosting a game show. What was it? I'll tell you about it once I return.

We asked which Buzzr program should get a revival, welp, it was a dead heat between I've Got A Secret and....surprise, Card Sharks. we'll have another Buzzr Beater after we tell you about game show hosts in radio.

So where did Game show hosts start in radio? Well, before being the first host of the modern Price is Right, Bob Barker was on KTTS-FM in Springfield Mo.

Monty hall was on CKRC radio in his native Canada before he created Let's Make A Deal.

Bud Collyer played Superman on radio before Beat The Clock and To Tell The Truth.

John Daly was on NBC Radio before What's My Line hit the airwaves on CBS as a moderator.

Bob Eubanks was on KACY radio in California before Card Sharks in 1986.

Before being Mr. password, Allen Ludden hosted a talk show called Mind Your Manners on WTIC in Hartford.

Gene Rayburn is known for Match Game, but he got started on WNEW in New York.

I know there are more, but I got a question for you. Which Game show host who started in radio did we forget about? It's an open ended one and teh very first one, so we'll give you until October to find out because next month kicks off the Games of Supermarket Sweep, focusing on the mini games of Sweep before the Round Robin game.

That should end it.  anything you question or comment goes to me on social media or email and we'll explain. We will see you all @ The.....................

...with the master of Everything buzz.....and defibrillator.....Pierre Kelly!

Welcome to @ The Buzzr.

What do Card Sharks, To Tell The Truth and Family Feud have in common? They're all revivals of originals and they've been succesful throughout the course of TV history. So we asked people on the Buzzr Facebook page which show needs to be revived? I'll tell you about it once I return.

Right now, we want to know if you're interested in LMAD alumni day? A lot of you said yes and we'll have another one after we check the page for revivals.

We check the page. Brad Hartford says Card Sharks, Sal Marconi think it's Concentration.....because NBC owns it, so that doesn't count, Sandra Magazin and Richard Mayberry both go with Card Sharks as does Rnady Newcombe who says this:

"I would just have a terrible feeling with a TT reboot that it is just going to go south, people we don't care about, etc. I would see it as a great show ruined. Card Sharks, sure could go the same direction, but unless someone really screws a reboot, I don't think that show could be as screwed up."

Mike Sanders also went with the same thing and he says:

"Using the Jim Perry era theme (which was used for the Game Show Marathon Special a few years ago) would help. The trick would be finding the right host. Jim was terrific. Bob Eubanks was OK. Bill Rafferty (I’ve been catching up to his series on YouTube) was very good."

Dirk Yarborough says this:

If the network got a hold of tattle tails, with the state of celebrities today and especially reality TV celebrities, that would be a disgusting show. Card Sharks is better."

Michael Stokes said this one:

"Password. If straight Password, no "pyramid" time segments like Million Dollar Password (yuk), except the lightning round.

If a puzzle version, do different types of puzzles or games. Taboo, where certain clues cannot be used. A Body Language type puzzle among others. Timed lightning round (alphabetics style) to determine who plays for the $10000 or more ca$hword. End game, one password, one clue, one million$$$."

um.....okay.  Oso Moke says Supermarket Sweep, of course and Bob Taylor ends it with:

"I want to see a reboot of Card Sharks. And I wanna see it done RIGHT. Make it something that will closely resemble the greatness of the original series with Jim Perry and Bob Eubanks. And make us forget about that dreadful 2001 reboot. Yecch!!"

Now then, which show will you reboot? We'll give you 2 weeks to decide on it.

That should end it.  anything you question or comment goes to me on social media or email and we'll explain. We will see you all @ The.....................
